Long Weekend in the Finger Lakes
Recently completed vacation home on more than 150 pristine acres of rolling fields and dense woods in the Finger Lakes region of upstate New York. The modern house has two sleeping areas and an open floor oriented to long views over rolling fields and woods. The property also includes a beautiful pond with swimming platform. Located close to some of the best vineyards on the East Coast, the house is surrounded by beautiful countryside and scenic Keuka Lake is three miles away. The lovely village of Hammondsport, with great restaurants and shops, is at the south end of the lake. Other interesting places nearby include Corning (with an amazing museum of glass), numerous vineyards and Watkins Glen. Visitors are welcome to use the bikes and canoe, but be forewarned: Cell phone reception is spotty and there’s no television!
