THE CAPITAL PHILHARMONIC of NEW JERSEY
ABOUT US
The Capital Philharmonic of New Jersey is a professional symphony orchestra dedicated to enriching the community through classical music performances. Based in Trenton, New Jersey, the ensemble offers a diverse repertoire ranging from timeless classics to contemporary works, aiming to inspire and engage audiences of all ages. The orchestra also emphasizes educational programs and community outreach to foster a love for music throughout the region.

The Capital Philharmonic of New Jersey (CPNJ) was founded in 2013 with the goal of making Trenton a culturally integrated musical hub. Our mission is to enhance the quality of life in the Greater Trenton area, preserve the city's classical music heritage, and contribute to its economic renaissance through our diverse programming, chamber music series and community outreach. We have become the anchor performing arts organization at the historic Trenton War Memorial and will be celebrating our tenth season in 2023-2024 with a series of unique concerts. Our orchestra consists of over seventy musicians, and we are guided by our Executive Director, Jill Aguayo and a passionate working board of civic leaders.
Numerous studies indicate that incorporating arts and culture into inner cities not only enhances the safety and security of the community but also fosters civic pride and a stronger sense of community. At CPNJ, we understand this and make it a part of our commitment to Trenton through our dedication to artistic and professional excellence, inclusive and diverse programming, vibrant neighborhood concert events, and captivating performances held at one of Trenton’s iconic and historical artistic hubs, the War Memorial.

In addition, we provided complimentary tickets to our concerts to some of Trenton’s community enrichment organizations including Culture is K.E.Y. and The Father Center.
We are immensely proud of what we have been able to create with your help over the past decade; however, we cannot continue to do so without your support. Your contributions are essential in helping us cover the ongoing costs of employing professional orchestra musicians, renting performance spaces, and covering other overhead expenses.
A gift to the Capital Philharmonic will directly support our ongoing initiatives and enable us to continue making a positive impact in Trenton. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at 609-200-0443 or executive@capitalphilharmonic.org.
Your support means the world to us, and we are deeply grateful for your continued partnership.
Sincerely,
