Introducing Turning Points, Capital Philharmonic of New Jersey’s 2026–27 season.

Every great story has a turning point—and this season marks one of our own as we welcome Kyle Ritenauer as our new Music Director.

Throughout the season, we’ll explore moments when history changes course, composers break new ground, and musicians step into what comes next: Paris moving from occupation to liberation in the world premiere of Vince di Mura’s  L’Hôtel Ritz de Paris; the promise of a new beginning on New Year’s Eve; Beethoven transforming the sounds of nature into his groundbreaking “Pastoral” Symphony; a young soloist taking an important step forward; and Brahms finally emerging from Beethoven’s shadow with his First Symphony—a work so powerful it became known as “Beethoven’s Tenth.”

Each concert asks the same question: What does it sound like when everything shifts?

Join us for Turning Points.
