OUR PROFESSIONAL MUSICIANS LIVE, PERFORM AND TEACH LOCALLY
CPNJ is centered in a vibrant and diverse community, we recognize that true equity in classical music cannot simply begin with hiring practices—it must begin with education,
inspiration, and opportunity for younger generations. Our mission is to foster a love for music among students in Trenton and other underserved areas, ensuring they see the concert hall as a place for everyone,

At the Capital Philharmonic of New Jersey, we believe that true artistic excellence is achieved through the inclusion of all voices and perspectives.
Mary G. Roebling Youth Concerto Competition
In January 2023, we held our first Mary G. Roebling Youth Concerto Competition. The winner performed with our orchestra at our concert in March. This was a great success and we plan to continue to offer this competition annually.

Musicians' Choice Chamber Music Concert Series
This season we introduced a Chamber Music Concert Series. We offered four concerts and each was performed to near sold-out audiences! We brought chamber music to underserved neighborhoods in Trenton to the delight of local residents. Next season, we plan to expand the series and find more venues in underserved areas in Trenton!
