THE CAPITAL PHILHARMONIC of NEW JERSEY
Patriots Theater at the War Memorial
1 Memorial Dr, Trenton, NJ 08608

Every Capital Philharmonic season begins and ends here, in the heart of New Jersey’s capital city. Patriots Theater is a grand, 1,807-seat hall in the Italian Renaissance Revival style, with ornate ceilings, gilded detail, and acoustics made for live orchestral sound.
The stage has a remarkable history. Over the decades, audiences here have heard Frank Sinatra, Duke Ellington, Louis Armstrong, Marian Anderson, Paul Robeson, and Leonard Bernstein. When CPNJ performs, we’re adding to that story.
The War Memorial opened in 1932 as a gathering place for the people of Mercer County, built to honor the local soldiers and sailors who gave their lives in World War I. Nearly a century later, it still serves that purpose: a place where the community comes together. Today the building is listed as both a National and State Historic Site. It is owned by the State of New Jersey and operated by the New Jersey State Museum, Department of State.
Parking & Accessibility
Free evening and weekend parking. For most CPNJ concerts, the easiest choice is the free parking in the state lots on Memorial Drive. They’re well lit and a short walk from the War Memorial. Other options. Paid parking lots are located throughout downtown Trenton (Lafayette Garage), and metered street parking is available near the War Memorial.
Accessible parking and drop-off. Accessible parking spaces and a drop-off zone are located beside the War Memorial on West Lafayette Street. Spaces are first-come, first-served, so we recommend arriving early.
Accessibility. The War Memorial is fully ADA compliant.
